RISE-SME General Assembly: A Successful Milestone for Innovation and Resilience

We are thrilled to announce that our recent online General Assembly was a great success! The consortium of the RISE-SME Project gathered to discuss crucial updates and plan our next steps forward. This meeting was a testament to our collaborative spirit and our shared commitment to pushing the boundaries of innovation and resilience for SMEs in the supply chain sector.

The agenda for the meeting included a comprehensive overview of all Work Packages, summarising the tasks and activities performed in the first months of the project, and outlining the actions planned for the next 6 months. Here’s a brief recap of the key points discussed:

A main focus of the meeting centered around explaining the different ecosystems to the consortium in attendance, as well as detailing the first project results as reflected in Deliverable 1.1: Industrial Ecosystems and Existing Risk-Driven Supply Chain Models. This deliverable represented a significant advancement, consolidating in-depth insights into characterising specific industrial ecosystems, their associated disruptions and risks, while also identifying risk-driven supply chain models and strategies designed to manage disruptive events effectively. Additionally, we discussed the ongoing efforts related to Deliverable 1.2: Mapping of Supply Chain Models to Industrial Ecosystems with Readiness and Responsiveness Measurement Analysis.

Our team explored the methodologies being created to measure the effects of disruptions. We also examined the current initiatives focused on discovering innovative technologies that can alleviate these impacts and strengthen supply chain resilience. These insights will play a vital role in the future development of Deliverable 2.1: Supply Chain Models for the Identified Ecosystems and Deliverable 2.2: Mapping of Advanced Technologies, which are essential for formulating strong strategies capable of enduring unexpected challenges.

We emphasized our communication strategies and dissemination efforts outlined in Deliverable 4.1: D&C&E Plan – First Version. This ensures that our findings and innovations are delivered to the appropriate audience for optimal impact. Effective communication is essential for sharing knowledge and promoting collaboration throughout the industry.

We reviewed our existing management practices, as outlined in Deliverable 6.1: Project Management Plan and Deliverable 6.2: Data Management Plan, and mapped out our next steps. Effective project management guarantees that all our efforts are coordinated and helps us remain focused on achieving our objectives.

Work Package 3: Forming Alliances in Industrial Ecosystems, Work Package 5: Dissemination, Communication, and Exploitation – RP2, and Work Package 7: Project Management (Reporting) will commence only during later stages of the project.

A big thank you to all our dedicated team members and partners for their hard work and commitment. Together, we are pushing the boundaries of innovation and resilience for SMEs in the supply chain sector.

Stay tuned for more updates!
