RISE-SME Project Hosts 3rd General Assembly in Dortmund

The RISE-SME Project is thrilled to announce its 3rd General Assembly, which took place on March 12th in the vibrant city of Dortmund, Germany. This assembly was organised by the project’s partner, Fraunhofer IML, and it was an invaluable opportunity for collaboration and innovation.

The General Assembly brought together all project partners to facilitate dialogue and knowledge sharing, ensuring that all voices were heard and valued. It provided a platform to reflect on the RISE-SME Project’s achievements, exchange insights, and collaboratively plan future initiatives.

In the first year of the project, the Supply Chain Resilience Fit framework was created, building the path for increasing supply chain resilience for companies (and specifically SMEs). We are entering a new phase of the project, where the impact of technologies on supply chain resilience will be assessed and validated by RISE-SME clusters and Digital Innovation Hubs” said Carolina Cipres, RISE-SME Project Coordinator.

Agenda Highlights

  • The 3rd General Assembly of the RISE-SME Project started with an overview of the project’s goals and milestones. The morning presentations primarily focused on in-depth analysis of supply chain models (Work Package 1) and the methodology for disruption impact quantification and technology scouting (Work Package 2). The new Project Advisor for EC-HADEA, Susana Xara, was also introduced to the project partners during the morning sessions. Susana will be responsible for supporting the project throughout its duration.
  • The afternoon sessions covered building alliances in industrial ecosystems (Work Package 3), strategies for dissemination and exploitation of the project’s key exploitable results (Work Package 4 and 5), and project management planning (Work Package 6 and 7). The day ended with a quick wrap-up, summarizing the discussions and paving the way for the future of the project.

The RISE-SME Project remains committed to driving innovation and enhancing collaboration within industrial ecosystems to achieve supply chain resilience. This General Assembly is a testament to our dedication to these goals, and we are excited to embark on this journey with our partners and stakeholders.
