Rosanna Fornasiero from Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche, participated and collected some of the open challenges that can be taken into consideration by RISE-SME when matching technologies and SMEs.
- Insufficient follow-up actions for technologies developed in EU projects and lack of measures for market success
- Lack of resources, funding, knowledge and skills to fully exploit the technologies and results of R&D projects
- Gap between economic/societal needs and research subjects
- Missing innovation capability from SMEs
- Aversion to failure and fear of innovation on the part of traditional SMEs
- Lack of ecosystem coordination in dissemination activities
Considering these challenges, RISE-SME looks to the future with a clearer vision and strengthened motivation to achieve more resilience in supply chains with real impact and results!
